Why is buying such a hassle?

What I don't get is why buying is such a hassle, from what I can see there are some details that needs checking
Land registry envoironmental components Ownership documents etc
But is only involes writing of what 10 letters and yet the deal always get held up/stall with solicitors why? |

I wonder the same thing. It seems like something so simple but they always make it something that takes forever and has to have a million things done when it should only take just a few minutes. I get very frustrated with it

Buying is definitely more stressful than say selling a house. The trick is to do your homework and do the proper paperwork, then the transaction will be a breeze.
